The Blessings come AFTER the trial of your faith

Well this week has been a bit of a trial. About everyone was rejecting us, and a few people dropped us. But we found a bit of success these last two days. So, we decided that this past week has just been a trial of our faith. One night, we said a prayer to find what we were doing wrong, if it was something on our part. We then wrote down a list of things that we could try to improve, and started to work on changing. It was hard to do this while there was still no success, but I have more faith in this upcoming week. We are starting to see miracles.
We were given blessings yesterday, and both mine and Sister Clawson's mentioned that we would start to see miracles and that we would find many people this week. Because of this, I have increased confidence that we will find at least one person to be baptised.
We are already starting to see those miracles. On Saturday, we stopped a man who was walking 3 dogs. At first, he didn't seem very interested. He said that he had a Book of Mormon, and that he reads from it occasionally, and that the men who gave it to him were happy, and so were we. He said he had never met a Mormon without a smile on their face. He liked our positive energy, but didn't seem very responsive when we invited him to church and when we tried to set a return appointment.
Sister Clawson and I started a fast last night to find at least one person who would become a progressing investigator. In my personal prayer both last night and this morning, I asked specifically that someone we spoke to throughout the week would show up to Sacrament Meeting. A few minutes before church, that man walked through the door in nice clothing. A member from our ward talked to him right away, and then we went up and said Hello. He sat with us for the meeting, and he said that the hymns were really powerful and that they touched his heart. This was a direct answer to my prayer, and I know that when we ask specific things, in faith, Heavenly Father will answer our prayers. My testimony was strengthened so much yesterday, and with getting a blessing as well, I'm ready to see those miracles come. I really do believe that we will have a baptism this transfer.
Our mission President challenged us to say a prayer in the baptismal font and make a promise with the Lord. As we did this, I could feel the Spirit so strong. We are going to do everything we can in order to have someone in that font in the 3 weeks we have left of this transfer.
We are going to meet him again on Tuesday. My hope is to be able to baptise him soon. We hope that we can help him get through his trials, and that he will feel the spirit every time he meets with us. Another thing that happened yesterday was that we got a call from a girl who we found while Street contacting last week. She is turning 20 next week, so she felt that she could talk to us comfortably since we were her age. She loves our American accent and loves listening to us. She also took a bit of Religious studies, so our beliefs really interested her. She wouldn't ever set a time to meet with us, or come to church, but last night, she called us and said that she had time off of work, and would love to meet with us this week. This is another miracle.
Our teaching pool has been increasing and we hope to have a promising investigator that will be baptised.
Although most of this week was a challenge, we are now starting to see the blessings and miracles.
"For the hearts of many were hardened, and their names were blotted out, that they were remembered no more among the people of God. And also many withdrew themselves from among them.
"Now this was a great trial to those that did stand fast in the faith; nevertheless, they were steadfast and immovable in keeping the commandments of God, and they bore with patience the persecution which was heaped upon them." -Alma 1:24-25
"And now, I, Moroni, would speak somewhat concerning these things; I would show unto the world that faith is things which are hoped for and not seen; wherefore, dispute not because ye see not, for ye receive no witness until after the trial of your faith.
"For it was by faith that Christ showed himself unto our fathers, after he had risen from the dead; and he showed not himself unto them until after they had faith in him; wherefore, it must needs be that some had faith in him, for he showed himself not unto the world.
"But because of the faith of men he has shown himself unto the world, and glorified the name of the Father, and prepared a way that thereby others might be partakers of the heavenly gift, that they might hope for those things which they have not seen." - Ether 12:6-8
We have been put through this trial, but because of it, our faith has increased and I have high hopes for this upcoming week. I love my companion and we are getting along so well. I believe I have found myself again, and because of that, I'm finding the joy of being on a mission. Sister Clawson is such a wonderful missionary and I'm blessed to have her as my companion. I'm having so much fun here in England :)
Also, Liverpool is BEAUTIFUL. We are going there again today :)
Hopefully I'll be able to take and send a few pictures. Love you all!!!
